I am Sathila De Silva, and I'm a UI/UX designer with a tremendous passion for designing things for the web. In the last few of months, I've spent the majority of my time learning the fundamentals of web design. So far, I've been able to design and construct this portfolio, as well as few fictional web designs for a web design course I took on Udemy.
I don't like to categorize myself based on the limited quantity of work I've done thus far. I prefer to define myself by the amount of effort I've put into learning new abilities in this shorter period of time.
What motivates me to build websites is the fact that I'm doing my best to keep the designs' inventiveness at a high level, as well as the delight I experience every time I do so. Making up designs is much more enjoyable for me than anything else, even if the results do not meet my expectations. Also, listening to design and development podcasts, webinars, and YouTube sessions, along with studying about design, drives me to come up with fresh creative ideas.
Over the last few months, I've gained a greater understanding and familiarity with HTML5 and CSS3, and I believe I'm a quick learner who enjoys acquiring new abilities and working on new projects. I’m also, familiar with using design software such as Figma and Adobe Photoshop. Presently, I've been devoting time to learn more about UX/UI design and honing my front-end development skills.
Aside from web design, I am passionate about wildlife, community service, and sports.
